People are suffering because they are against the Lord and the devotees of the Lord. The whole human race is only suffering because of this reason. Only the devotees of the Lord they can have a happy live. Nowadays the present situation in this world is most abominable, because most of them are envious to the Supreme Lord –this way they slowly going away more and more from the religious principles found in all those authentic scriptures. Those people who all are envious to the Supreme Lord they are actually serving Maya Devi very well. They think– that kind of painful life very good, but in reality they are being cheated by Maya Devi. Their dirty heart– full of selfishness only searching for personal interest. But it is a fact that they are really in misery, because they have no proper spiritual guidance in their life. If at all they have any material guidance that is also dangerous for their spiritual upliftment, because all such material Gurus they are selfish themselves, so what good they can search for their disciple. That is why from Srimad Bhagavatam (7.5.31) we can find the advice of Srila Prahlad Maharaja.
na te viduḥ svārtha-gatiṁ hi viṣṇuṁ
durāśayā ye bahir-artha-māninaḥ
andhā yathāndhair upanīyamānās
te ’pīśa-tantryām uru-dāmni baddhāḥ
Persons who are strongly entrapped by the consciousness of enjoying material life, and who have therefore accepted as their leader or guru a similar blind man attached to external sense objects, cannot understand that the goal of life is to return home, back to Godhead, and engage in the service of Lord Viṣṇu. As blind men guided by another blind man miss the right path and fall into a ditch, materially attached men led by another materially attached man are bound by the ropes of fruitive labor, which are made of very strong cords, and they continue again and again in materialistic life, suffering the threefold miseries.
The whole human race is suffering so much because they have gone away so far from the service of the Lord. At present cheap religious thoughts are prevailing everywhere. At present most people always want to prove their respective superiority. We think they surly not going to follow a Sad Guru to change their dirty mentality, otherwise how it is possible to pay attention to those cheap things like labha, puja , prathista etc.
Gaudiya Gosthi Pathi Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura Prabhupada told that if anybody going to get the actual taste of annanya- bhajan, he can never leave his bhajan, and he can never run for labha, puja, prathista, etc.
There is one old proverb going in our society that—“A dog can never digest Ghee, and a cow can never digest fish or meat”. So we think this kind of most harmful disease going on in our society at present. Even those demigods they also want to take birth in Bharat Varsa if at all they have any pious activities, then what to speak about others. But unfortunately, those who are going to take birth in Bharat Varsa, they are going to forget their own super-pure culture and religion and going to follow blindly the European culture and Civilization. In that case we cannot forget the case of Michel Madhusudhan Datta– who out of his fanciful attitude wanted to accept Christian religion and culture leaving Sanatan Dharma and culture, but ultimately he was bound to confess his own great mistake and at last he was crying to get the Caranamrita of Radha Govinda-jew before leaving his sinful material body. At last he was bound to speak that India is a unique place, more than heaven. Especially we can get some unique advice in different authentic scriptures about Go-mata-seva , Brahman -seva , Vaishnavs-seva etc. by which we can get pumper success in our spiritual line. We can see in our History that those previous kings or leaders they all used to get instructions from Brahmans and Vaishnavas, to lead their life flawlessly and scientifically. The example of Sri Prithu Maharaja, Ambarish Maharaja, or Sri Ram Chandra known to us. Even one Mohamed king named Akbar—he was also following those Vedic instructions to get peace and prosperity in his kingdom.
It is of utmost importance that a person who is going to rule this society must be very religious and a very nice Philosopher. Such a ruler can bring real peace and prosperity in our society. The following Vers from Srimad Bhagavatam can give the exact evidence of that–
sarvatrāskhalitādeśaḥ
sapta-dvīpaika-daṇḍa-dhṛk
anyatra brāhmaṇa-kulād
anyatrācyuta-gotrataḥ SB 4.21.12
Mahārāja Pṛthu was an unrivaled king and possessed the scepter for ruling all the seven islands on the surface of the globe. No one could disobey his irrevocable orders but the saintly persons, the brāhmaṇas and the descendants of the Supreme Personality of Godhead [the Vaiṣhṇavas].
Pṛthu Mahārāja used to avoid controlling Brahmanas and Vaishnavas. From the above facts, we can come to the conclusion that people in general should be controlled by a pious king until and unless they come to the platform of Vaiṣṇavism and Brāhmaṇism. Brāhmaṇa refers to one who knows Brahma, and Vaiṣhṇava is one who always serves the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
