Although common people cannot get any taste in the absolute Harikatha spoken by pure Sadhu-Guru-Vaishnava, but still this can be treated as divine medicine (divine panacea) which can ultimately show the excellent growing result of spiritual consciousness, but one has to keep patience because in the beginning, he cannot understand any result (outcome).
Here the following example is just matching in this respect, so we are going to quote the same.
There was a family—they were all thieves– Gangsters of stealing team. The father of the family going to leave his body at old age. He was very anxious about all of his sons at that time of leaving his body. He wanted to give his last advice in front of his sons before leaving his body, so all of them came in front of father to hear his last advice.
The father started speaking—“Oh! My dear sons– try to pay full attention to my last advice, otherwise you cannot run our traditional business of stealing, so long I was giving advice to you all to come out successful in each and every operation of stealing, but now nobody there to give advice to you all to continue our business smoothly, because I am going to leave my body. Be careful– if you at all like to carry out our traditional business of stealing very effectively then never try to get any sat sangha, never try to hear Hariatha-Kirtan from them, otherwise you cannot continue with your business.”
All of his sons they took decision to obey the last instruction which was given by their father and they started doing accordingly, but one day while coming back from a successful operation of stealing they started running through a field which was just full of thorn-trees and by chance they started hearing Harikatha-Kirtan by a pure Sadhu from a long distance place over loudspeaker, so naturally they wanted to stop hearing Harikatha-Kirtan by putting their fingers into their ears as a stopping plug but due to thorns in the field they couldn’t stop hearing Harikatah anyway. They were bound to open their fingers from their respective ears due to thorn foul into their legs which was unbearable for them. So naturally in course of taking care of their respective legs they were bound to hear Harikatha. And that Harikatha was so powerful that it was more than enough to change their whole life. So knowingly or unknowingly somehow if we are going to get genuine sat sanga or hear genuine Harikatha from them then surely this can act as a great medicine in our life—no doubt.
