Kali is the age of controversy and confusion, where all living entities are always under the strong pressure of māyā (avidyā and anartha). Only and only Bhakti-vinoda Dhara can save us. The absolute and divine mission of Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda wanted to distribute Bhakti-vinoda Dhara flow in each and every corner of the world. Any Gauḍīya Temple or Maṭha without the current flow of Bhakti-vinoda Dhara is nothing but a graveyard. That is why The Prabhupāda repeatedly told us that — “I wanted to make living temples.” Those who can represent the mission of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu with the backing of perfect ācāra and ādarśa. Specially The Prabhupāda wanted to confirm that from bālya-avasthā—I mean from the very beginning of life—everyone must be guided by some tattva-vid sat-guru in a very absolute way so that they can develop absolute consciousness to show the same light of knowledge they have received from sat-guru-paramparā, then and only then they can come out successful in their devotional life.
The absolute reason for why our ultimate target is to keep the lamp of śuddha-bhakti glowing in full form which was enlightened by Śrīmān Mahāprabhu at Śrīvāsa-aṅgana and which was protected and preserved very carefuly by Śrī Śrīla Saccidānanda Bhakti Vinoda Ṭhākura, Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda, and our śuddha Gauḍīya guru-varga—those who are in the line of śrauta-pantha. In the form of establishment of an ideal paramārthika āśrama to train up those innocent small boys up to the level of Kṛṣṇa consciousness for their absolute benefit is surely an absolute project, no doubt in it. In this way surely we can seek the highest benefit of the future generation flow of our Sārasvata Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava Sampradāya, because no other suitable alternative is left with us except this flawless secret program to maintain the same flow in future. The great Mahājana Śrīla Prahlāda Mahārāja also wanted to advocate the same procedure to help those small boys to grow their Kṛṣṇa consciousness. From Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, we know the following ślokas spoken by Śrīla Prahlāda Mahārāja in front of those demon boys of gurukula—
śrī-prahrāda uvāca
kaumāra ācaret prājño
dharmān bhāgavatān iha
durlabhaṁ mānuṣaṁ janma
tad apy adhruvam arthadam (ŚB 7.6.1)
Prahlāda Mahārāja said: One who is sufficiently intelligent should use the human form of body from the very beginning of life—in other words, from the tender age of childhood—to practice the activities of devotional service, giving up all other engagements. The human body is most rarely achieved, and although temporary like other bodies, it is meaningful because in human life one can perform devotional service. Even a slight amount of sincere devotional service can help ultimately to attain complete perfection.
sukham aindriyakaṁ daityā
deha-yogena dehinām
sarvatra labhyate daivād
yathā duḥkham ayatnataḥ (SB 7.6.3)
Prahlāda Mahārāja continued: “My dear friends born in demoniac families, the happiness that arises from sense enjoyment is not something to be separately endeavoured for. According to one’s previous fruitive activities, such happiness comes of its own accord in any form of life—just as distress also comes without being invited. Therefore, it is not wise to waste one’s valuable human life simply chasing sense pleasure. Rather, one should engage in bhakti, for that alone is the true purpose of life and the only means to attain eternal welfare.”
We are, every one of us, fully under the control of material nature or māyā. We have put ourselves, in different bodies, fully under the control of material nature. There is no question of independence. In the śāstra it is described, just like a horse or a bull is bound up in the nose, it has to go according to the pushes and pulls on the rope by the driver. There is no independence. So, our so-called declaration of independence — “There is no God. There is no control. Whatever we like we can do”, this means ignorance. And in ignorance we commit so many mistakes, and that is sinful activity.
Keeping in mind the prevailing horrible dirty present situation all over the world and also by watching the fearful situation going to be developed in near future—we all the honest and sincere members of Sri Bhakti Siddhanta Vani Seva Trust (Regd.) have taken an absolute decision to make such an ideal project as was already proposed by Śrīla Bābā Mahārāja from heart long ago.
At the sacred land of Śrī Rādhā-kuṇḍa, which is worshipped as the highest plane of the absolute divine loveful sevā of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Govinda Jīu, our divine effort can take the most intimate and effective form through this divine project plan—
Śrī Siddhānta Sarasvatī Śiśu Maṅgala Āśrama and Śrī Śyāma Go-Dhāma. Here education is not meant for exploitation, nor to teach boys how to start competition, nor for any mundane success. This is only meant for aprākṛta sevā teachings for awakening śraddhā inside the heart of those boys and ultimately for guiding those boys to go back to their eternal home—Śrī Goloka Vṛndāvana.
Our Divine Vision — From innocence up to the divine sevā
A child’s heart is not meant for planting the seeds of all kinds of material aspirations which ultimately can give no maṅgala to that jīva at all, rather the tender field (heart) of those young children should be prepared to receive the divine seed of bhakti, so that they can become great devotees. If, from the early stage of their life, they can get nourished by aprākṛta hari-kathā, nāma-saṅkīrtana, simple-natural living in the association of Sādhu-Guru-Vaiṣṇavas and those Go-mātās (go-sevā) and dhāma sevā, then their dormant bhakti-latā-bīja can naturally sprout. This āśrama we are going to establish is especially meant to protect that tender creeper of bhakti in the most possible way, so that ultimately all those beautiful flowers can be offered to Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
Curriculum of the āśrama
Those boys can receive the golden opportunity to gain the knowledge of those languages like Sankrit, Hindi, Bengali and English which can assist them to study those pure śāstra-siddhāntas with realization under the guidance of those Guru-Vaiṣṇavas to develop divya-jñāna ultimately. We are very much interested in publishing all the details about the curriculum in a very scientific and analytical way on time.
Go-Dhāma — The symbol of Simplicity
Actually the heart of Go-mata is free of any kind of duplicity. The presence of those Go-mātās is not ornamental—rather it is the most essential focus. Through Go-sevā, those children naturally can develop humility, responsibility, and affection for all. Those Go-mātās can teach us tolerance, internal nourishment and we can get motherly affection. In serving Go-vaṁśa, our heart can become soft, peaceful, and also we can become fit to receive the Absolute Truth. Simple living and higher thinking is the divine teaching we have received from our ancient Vaidika culture backed by those ṛṣi-munis and mahājanas.
A Prayerful Conclusion
O guardians of the future, O well-wishers of all jīvas, let us not deprive those children of their absolute wealth of bhakti. The world can teach them how to start competition or how to exploit others and how to forget the absolute kṛpā and love of the Supreme Lord. Then who can teach them how to serve the Supreme Lord and His devotees? Who can remind them of their eternal identity? Let this Sisu Mangala Asrama at Śrī Rādhā-kuṇḍa stand as a lamp in the deep darkness of ignorance. This is the place where innocent boys can be protected and also where the lifestyle can be simple and natural, and where even every breath can be dedicated for the sevā of the Supreme Lord. May the dust particles of this aprākṛta dhāma bestow the causeless mercy of Yugala-Sarkāra in the way of their divine journey towards that eternal Goloka Dhāma—Vṛndāvana.
In this way you all are cordially invited to extend all your helpful hands towards this divine goal to implement the desire of Śrīmān Mahāprabhu and our Gauḍīya guru-varga. Let us all together make an endeavour to make this project successful which is named as “Sri Shyam Go Dham and Sri Siddhanta Sarasvati Sisu Mangala Asrama” in Śrī Rādhā-Kuṇḍa.
Gauḍīya Goṣṭhīpati Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda Paramahaṁsa Jagat-Guru said that— “To do Dhāma-sevā and to serve Hari is all the same. There is no difference between Them.” So let us all contribute step by step to make this possible. All our combined efforts can make this aprākṛta sevā project successful.
Thanks a lot
Truly yours in the service of Śrī Śrī Guru Gaurāṅga & Go-Mātā
