Sri Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Prabhupada told that– “If somebody says I like to live a very peaceful life so that nobody is disturbing me, then this is also one kind of kama– passive kama. You cannot see it but it is some kind of self-satisfaction. This kind of mood is strictly prohibited if you wont to identify yourself as a member of Gaudiya math. There is no question of living a peaceful life. Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur has expressed this mood in his prayers “ tomara sevaya, dukha haya jato , seo to parama sukha” in the course of serving You, whatever difficulties may come are indeed my topmost joy, every eventuality, every problem I face, that’s all ok, I like it, because I like to serve you. I like to serve Gurupadapadma , Gauranga. Any problem which comes into my life I will gladly accept, Kunti devi also is praying that she won’t all kind of different problems come into her life. Why? Usually, nobody likes problems, but Kunti devi says–” If problems are there then I have the chance to remember you otherwise if you give me a very peaceful life with all opulence’s and all facility, then I will not remember you, so that is very favorable, it is very positive. So those who identify themself as a member of Gaudiya-math they will say “tomara sevaya, dukha hayajato, seo to parama sukha.” This kirtan you must read daily to grow that mentality in the heart.
