We must be very careful about Cinmay Dhama–The transcendental Holy abode of the Lord

July 27, 2020

If anyone wants to go to Vrindavan, Mahaprabhu is saying, “O.K., go take darshan and come back, don’t stay there, don’t try to climb Govardhan, don’t try to take bath in Radha Kunda.”

If we take our material conceptions to Vrindavan, we will only commit aparadha because each and every dust particle in Vrindavan is transcendental and far, far superior than we fallen souls are.

One day some so-called devotee went in front of  Srila Gaura Kishore das Babaji Maharaj and told him that they bought two kathas of land. Maharaj laughed and asked them how that was possible when even Brahma, Shiva, and Narada could not get even one dust particle. He asked them where they had gotten that amount of money and who had arranged such a transaction.

King Akbar also spoke like this. He offered to serve Sanatana Gosvami who then requested that he repair the footsteps at a ghat. Then Akbar felt insulted thinking, “I am a big king but he orders me to repair only one small staircase!?” Sanatana Gosvami realized the king was experiencing his false ego, so Sanatana revealed to Akbar some of the glories of Vrindavan. The king then said, “Oh how foolish I was to think in this way. I have no capacity at all to repair this footstep made up of jewels. I cannot replace even one of the jewels if I sell my whole kingdom. Please excuse me! It is not possible to serve Vrindavan!”

With our material conception we cannot serve Vrindavan Dhama, Navadvip Dhama, Sadhu, Guru and Vaishnavas. The transcendental Dhamas (Cinmay Dhamas) are not objects of our enjoyment. It is not even possible to see Cinmay Dhama in our dreams. The Holy Dhamas are inconceivable.

One day, a Braja Mandal Parikrama party was proceeding towards their destination. One devotee wanted to prevent dust from entering his nose. Srila Prabhupada advised him to allow the dust particles to enter his body to purify his heart. This instruction gives us a clear idea as to the transcendental nature of Sri Vrindavan Dhama.

Srila Prabhupada used to advice us, “Try not to break any tree or creeper because we don’t know who is secretly doing bhajan in those forms in Sri Vrindavan. Don’t pass urine anywhere; don’t spit on the ground. Be careful.”

Actually, bound souls cannot will themselves to stay in Cinmay Dhama. We can only do so under the strict guidance of pure Guru-Vaishnava. Otherwise, our fanciful activities can throw us into the ocean of the material world forever. Dham-tattva is Baladeva-tattva and is therefore so very, very merciful. Even a single Parikrama under the guidance of pure Guru-Vaishnava can set us free from material bondage and give us the capacity to do Hari bhajan.

In this respect, we are bound to clarify the secret point that Sri Navadvip Dhama is more merciful than Sri Vrindavan Dhama. Why? Because Gauranga Mahaprabhu is the most merciful Incarnation. Together with His Navadvipa Dhama, He gives the most munificent chance to souls in bondage. Here the question of aparadha is not so important. By the mercy of the Supreme Lord, Sri Gauranga-Deva, a special dispensation is given that Navadwip Dhama does not take any offense. We should constantly remember that Gaura-Nityananda are always crying to somehow deliver bound souls.

But Sri Vrindavan Dham is more restricted for common people, some of whom have no idea about the importance and gravity of this Rasa Maya Dham ( Madhurya Pradhan Dhama) where Srimati Radharani in the way of Her exclusive seva to Her Prananatha cannot bear even any slightest seva aparadha by anybody.
