Aprakrita prasadam can never be enjoyed, rather we should develop such a humble mood that prasadam become interested to bestow full kripa on us. One day on Nandauthsava function all Gaudiya Math devotees (at Bhaktivinod Asan—1 Ultardanga junction Calcutta) were taking prasadam in the hall. There was one educated man from Bankura, he also was taking prasadam with full enjoyment (with material enjoying mood). One senior Vaishnava was watching everything there. Somehow he was bound to speak the following words to that man specially –”Oh! Prabhu –you are going to eat Malpua (Traditional Indian Sweets ) or Malpua going to eat you”? That man was full of false ego so naturally he couldn’t understand the inner meaning of that Question. He became very angry. He started shouting heavily—What you mean? Do you think that in my whole life I never took such nice prasadam like Malpua? I am going to reject prasadam right now. The information came to Srila Prabhupada about the incident that happened. Srila Prabhupada started replying in a smiling mood that—“He couldn’t catch the point why he was spoken that way, actually aprakrita prasadam can never be taken in enjoying mood, rather we should try to get full kripa of prasadam. Enjoying mood is never allowed about aprakrita prasadam. By the mercy of prasadam we can cut Maya very easily. From Srimad Bhagavatam we can find Uddhava Ji Maharaj speaking—
tvayopabhukta-srag-gandha-
vāso-’laṅkāra-carcitāḥ
ucchiṣṭa-bhojino dāsās
tava māyāṁ jayema hi (SB 11.6.46)
Simply by decorating ourselves with the garlands, fragrant oils, clothes and ornaments that You have already enjoyed, and by eating the remnants of Your meals, we, Your servants, will indeed conquer Your illusory energy.
Also Srila Sacidananda Bhaktivinod Thakur writting in his kirtan the following Siddhanta vicar—
prasada seva, korite haya, sakala prapanca- jaya
“Honering Their prasada one enables one to conquer the material world of five elements”
Also from Sri Chaitanya Caritamrita and from other authentic scriptural evidence we know it for sure that–
bhakta-pada-dhūli āra bhakta-pada-jala
bhakta-bhukta-avaśeṣa,—tina mahā-bala (Cc. Antya 16.60)
The dust of the feet of a devotee, the water that has washed the feet of a devotee, and the remnants of food left by a devotee are three very powerful substances.
maha –prasade govinde, nama-brahmani vaisnave
svalpa-punyavatam rajan, visvaso naiva jayate Skanda Purana ( Utkala-khanda)
Those who have very few piouse activities to their credit can never develop faith in maha-prasada, in Sri Govinda, in the holy name of the Lord, or in the Vaisnavas
