(Extract from the class on 13.9.2020 : The Prabhupada and his Radha dassya, Shri Shyam das Baba)
Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Thakur Prabhupada told that—“ For the actual preaching of Gaura Vani , I can come down to any level”. This kind of statement we can not expect from a sadhu. Really it is such a kind of revolting statement which we can not expect from a sadhu. Only and only we can expect such a statement from a maha maha sadhu. Those who are actually in the line of Radha dassya, only they can pass this kind of statement.
Most of the people criticizing Srila Prabhupada for his exclusive Siddhanta vicar. Some of them passing remark that Srila Prabhupada is very critical, he is not Sadhu. Our Guruvarga all are in the line of Radha anugatya—they are all Rupanuga. Srila Rupa Gosvami has written in his Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu the following sloka—
anyabhilasita-sunyam jnana-karmadyanavrtam
anukulyena krsnanusilanam bhaktir-uttama
Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu (1.1.11)
Perpetual, ardent endeavour meant exclusively for Sri Krsna and performed out of genuine kindness to Him, when neither prone to any selfish, ulterior desires nor eclipsed by impersonal knowledge, fruitive work, or any other occupation, is known as uttama-bhakti.
Which means to constantly engage in bhakti under the guidance of anukula shakti Sri Sri Radha Rani, the potency of Sri Krsna who causes Him to relish the utmost pleasure. This alone is known as uttama bhakti, or topmost bhakti. First of all we have to understand the basic Siddhanta vicar and etiquette set by Srila Prabhupada, otherwise we can never understand the mood of Srila Prabhupada. When Srila Prabhupada saying that –“For the actual preaching of Sri Chaitanya Vani i can come down to any level.” This kind of absolutely pure mood can prove that Srila Prabhupada is absolutely there in the line of Radha dassya. At first we have to understand the mood of Mahaprabhu. We can find in Chaitanya Deva’s pastimes that he never made any compromise in the way of Shuddha bhakti. Never he allowed any kind of contamination in the way of Gaudiya bhajan field. Any writing or any poetry or any Siddhanta vicar whoever going to bring to show Sriman Mahaprabhu—It was the usual rule set by Sriman Mahaprabhu to get it checked by Srila Svarup Gosai, not before that. Because Sriman Mahaprabhu can not tolerate any kind of rasa bhasa, or Siddhanta virode. From Chaitanya Charitamrita we can find the following Quotation–
rasa bhasa , siddhanta virod sunite prabhur hoie krodha
So this example set by Sriman Mahaprabhu going to prove that there should not be any rasa bhasa and Siddhanta virode at all in the line of our Gaudiya Bhajan field.
Through this example we also can learn that in front of any kind of Siddhanta virod or rasa bhasa we should not keep quiet. We should give a befitting answer to any such Siddhanta virode or Rasa bhasa. Nowadays so-called devotees they want to project their trinad api bhava falsely by ignoring their protest mood. But Srila Prabhupada repeatedly told that we should not tolerate any kind of rasabhasa and Siddhanta virode. Even he used to say that to lose patiency to became angry is the exact Vaishnava etiquette when we can see that somebody going to insult Guru-Vaishnava.
