Pure stainless neutral sevā-vṛtti (the natural function of ātmā) is Bhagavad-sevā; here in this case no question of expression of restlessness. Bhoga either in the form of dharma-artha-kāma or detachment developing out of avoiding dharma-artha-kāma – both cannot help in the way of attainment of eternal vṛtti of ātmā (the natural function of ātmā) which is called bhakti.
Again though if some time the partial exposal (or expression) of nitya-svabhāva (the original nature of jīva– I mean the interest in Bhagavat-bhajana) can be seen – still baddha-jīva can also reserve the right of getting deviated from the track of Bhagavat-bhajana. Niṣiddha-ācāra (prohibited ācāra), kapaṭya-nāṭya (dancing of falsity or complicacy or duplicity), parādhrah (violence to others or jīva-hiṁsā), pratiṣṭhā-āśā, desire to achieve respect or honour from others or the desire to collect those matters relating to material enjoyment (sense gratification) – throwing away the ātmā-sevā-vṛtti into water. By the development of such nonsense it is quite natural to get detached from Bhagavat-prīti, then the situation cannot allow to become a real bhakta. Onward material ego (false ego) developing to engage me in my doershipness. Śrī Gaura-sundara Himself wanted to teach all about śuddha-bhakti in this world to restore the original (real) caitanya (absolute consciousness) of those baddha-jīvas by preaching Himself (or by showing ācaraṇa Himself). Śrī Caitanya Deva has given advice to the human being to develop egolessness (to develop ātmā-sevā-vṛtti unto the Supreme Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān).
