“Paraṁ vijāyate-śrī-kṛṣṇa-sankīrtanam” is the only slogan of Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha

Jagad Guru Gauḍīya Goṣṭhī Pati Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda told that – “The most fundamental thing in the way of bhajana is to have strong faith in guru-vaiṣṇava and in their hari-kathā“. Śrīla Prabhupāda also told that— “Anyone who is devoid of accharan and full of anyābhilāṣa, surely going to avoid pure hari-kathā-kīrtana.”
What is the main duty of those members of Gauḍīya Maṭha? All the members of Gauḍīya Maṭha must be ready to sacrifice their life for the saṅkīrtan-yajña- agni enlightened by Śrīman Mahaprabhu at Śrīvas Angan. Śrīman Mahaprabhu is saṅkīrtan- pitha, so to give Him full satisfaction, nama-saṅkīrtan-yajña- agni is the best possible way. It is our main duty to add more and more fuel (ghee) to the saṅkīrtan–yajña- agni. Ghee means our honest effort or sacrifice to do nonstop harinam-saṅkīrtan for the complete satisfaction of the saṅkīrtan-pitha-śrī- gaura -hari.
The flame of the original saṅkīrtan-yajña should be protected and preserved. All Maṭha-Mandir must have the same goal. All Maṭha–Mandir or spiritual society should not have any separate interest. We all must remember Śrīla Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Ṭhākura, his accharan and instruction. Maybe at present somehow kīrtana going on everywhere, but we must admit that this is not the original saṅkīrtan-yajña -agni. Because if the original saṅkīrtan-yajña-agni is there, then there cannot have the possibility of infighting, mastarya, etc. for labha-puja-pratiṣṭhā.
Śrīla Prabhupāda told that— “There are always some kapat devotees those who want to enter inside the Avidyaharan Naṭya-Mandira (the Saṅkīrtan-Mandira of Caitanya Maṭha) where ignorance cannot survive. They can try to hide themselves very tactfully but cannot stay there for long time. Because any kind of avidya cannot stand in front of that pure saṅkīrtan-yajña agni.”
So, we all should have the single and common goal as shown by Śrīla Prabhupāda and Śrīla Bhakitvinod Ṭhākura. If we fail to preserve and protect that original saṅkīrtan-yajña-agni which is the only pure flame to clean our dirty heart, then we can never come out successful in our bhajana. To protect us from such danger Śrīman Mahaprabhu has given us that saṅkīrtan-yajña- agni, and now our only duty is to keep it glowing.
Śrīla Prabhupāda also very often used to speak about saṅkīrtan-medha and gṛha-medha (material intellect). If gṛha-medha going to increase, in that case hari-bhajana is not possible. However, saṅkīrtan-medha can help us to continue hāriṇam- saṅkīrtan nonstop way. Even at the last stage of his life, Śrīla Prabhupāda was not at all ready to stop hari-kaṭhā-kīrtana. Śrīla Prabhupāda told that– “Those kapat devotees they cannot maintain their existence inside the Avidyaharan Naṭya-Mandira—for long time, because very shortly their dirty svarūpa can get exposed.” They just cannot survive. Due to poor health, it was the order of the doctor not to speak much. But without singing the glories of hari-guru-vaiṣṇava it was quite impossible for him to live, so he used to speak hari-kaṭhā continuously.
