Usually at the time of Diksa most of us cannot show 100 %submission, but without 100 % submission Diksa procedure is not complete. Srila Vishvanatha Chakravarti Thakur speaking that sometime one devotee shows 80 % submission, maybe 20 % gaping there , but anyway by the mercy of Guru Vaishnava he is trying to do same seva, and any how he tries to cut his material bondage. But after sometime the devotees losing their patience, and thinking that all this is too difficult, impossible. All strict rules and regulations are so tuff.
Usually bondage souls are living like a ghost, they never wont to put themselves under rules and regulations , discipline , all basic things they don’t like to do. Srila Vishvanath Chakravarti Thakur is telling, that although by the mercy of Guru and Vaishnava they are cutting their bondage, but they cannot keep their faith, and after same time they are losing their patience, and think that it is not possible for us, because they cannot feel that we are out of maya, always tension , different kinds of attraction, repulsion are coming to put them in trouble, they cannot get the taste of Harinam, Guru-seva, Vaishnava-seva, because duplicity is there.
But Srila Vishvanath Chakravarti Thakur is telling that by the mercy of Guru and Vaishnavas you are cutting your bondage , but you cannot feel , you don’t know. Gradually you are cutting that bondage, but they cannot feel patience up to that point. The jiva has no idea up to what point their bondage is already cutted.
Srila Vishvanath Chakravarti speaking suppose somebody put you in chain, and somebody going to cut this chain gradually. Even if the chain is almost half cutted still you have the impression and the feeling that you are bound. The jiva is feeling same pain, we cannot believe that already half bondage is gone. In this way many they are losing their patience, but Srila Prabhupada speaking , we should cultivate unending patience in Guru-Vaishnava-seva.
Why? Because if we at all want to do Guru Vaishnava-seva then we will have to face so many kinds of troubles. Maya devi will put you in trouble. So with full honor, full respect, full believe and full patience one has to do Guru Vaishnava-seva . That’s why Srila Prabhupada often used to say that this material world is the painful testing place. If we are fail in this testing then never we can start Guru Vaishnava-seva. So with full believe we have to do and not loose patience, otherwise we will get lost in this world.
